D623 Windspeed Alarm/Indicator and E923 Slave Display

Our D623 Digital Wind Speed Alarm/Indicator provides a solution for many applications requiring a simple display of windspeed and a single user adjustable alarm level (trip point).

For applications requiring multiple alarms or customised alarms which are combinations of wind speed and direction please refer to our CHM Series.

The standard D623 set includes an A100L2 anemometer with 10m cable, a type 405 mast adaptor (to fit 1" diameter mast top) and the D623 indicator/alarm unit itself. A longer instrument cable (or a junction box and extension cable) plus other types of mast adaptor to fit different mast sizes are available to order.
The D623 indicator is housed in a wall-mountable IP65 (weatherproof) enclosure and features a 14mm high brightness digital display. The user adjustable alarm drives a volt-free changeover relay contact (a separate contactor/relay will be required to switch large/mains loads)

Installation is relatively simple, the user simply has to fit the anemometer to the top of a suitable mast (not included in the set, but see WM4 and WM5 masts) using the 405 adaptor and mount the D623 unit on a convenient wall. Wiring consists of connecting the anemometer to the D623 unit (6 wires into screw-terminals) and connecting power (2 or 3 wires into screw-terminals). The system is powered from 230Vac 50/60Hz as standard, with 115Vac or 10..30Vdc options available to order.

The analog/voltage output from the A100L2 anemometer is used by the D623 alarm/display, however the pulse/frequency signal (10Hz/knot, i.e. 0..1500Hz = 0..150Knots) from the anemometer is also available on a screw terminal at ther rear of the D623 and could be fed into a PLC or similar control system if the application requires it.

The D623 can also drive a second matching "slave" display, the E923, to provide a second display (and second alarm relay) in an additional position where necessary.

Versions of the D623 and E923 are available without IP65 enclosures and are suitable for mounting in a control panel in a 1/8DIN cutout.
